Elmer advises clients in the areas of litigation and arbitration as well as on any issues related to bankruptcies and reorganisation. He has significant experience acting for international and local market leaders in complex disputes that demand novel approaches. Elmer has successfully argued numerous cases in the Supreme Court of Estonia. He also acts as a counsel in arbitration procedures administered by the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce and the Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.   • Defending a member of the top management of Liviko AS, an Estonian leading producer of alcoholic beverages with more than 100 years of history, against criminal charges related to a white-collar crime.
  • Successfully representing an Estonian market leader in a dispute relating to the valuation of shares and delisting of shares from the Tallinn Stock Exchange (of NASDAQ OMX Group).
  • Advising a minority shareholder in a dispute against the BLRT Grupp, the largest shipbuilding and metalworking group in the Baltics region. With Elmer’s help the client received a favorable and in-depth ruling about conflicting interests of shareholders and top level management.
  • Advising a large Central Asian crude carrier in different issues related to double taxation, jurisdiction, and leasing of rolling stock.
